arranged by Richard Barbieri,this album contains seven songs that vary in nature from bluesy atmospheric

ballads through to more dynamic groove arrangements with haunting vocal melodies.

Although commercial in style, the songs tend to veer

into the slightly more experimental areas of rock/pop that is the

trademark of Richard Barbieri's work.

Guest musicians include Steve Jansen, Mick Karn, Jakko Jakszyk,

Steven Wilson and saxophonist and JBK band member Theo Travis.

The first notes feel like scented water being trickled into your ears, and by the end of the track

(Only Forward) you're floating in it - a magically mixed wash of synth effects, broad guitar

currents and La Barbieri's voice... The only time the album slips out of this luxurious aural bath

is during the smoky Eno-esque funk of Feed the Fire: [Mick] Karn's snaky bass obbligato and

Suzanne's vocal sensuality combining to melt glass.
