Some talented remixers have contributed to this album (listed above). 7" and 12" vinyl are being released to
promote the album via club and radio dj's. The Medium release differs from the Japanese version in that the Eric Kupper Remix of 'Prayer of Gold' has been replaced by a new version by Steve Jansen, and the Reflection 'Confused Bits' have not been included.
4 Hero are featured with 2 remixes of The Choice - a track containing hints of Indian classical singer Sonia Mehta who appeared on the original recording. The first Reinforced Mix - a dark, atmospheric blend of samples and grooves, and the second Electro Groove Mix - a techno, 808 club mix. Reflection, Japanese cult remixers, completely overturn the original track Memory Without Consequence into their own interpolated mix. DJ Spooky provides his spectacular dance grooves spinning around original sax lines and vocals from Zoe. And Spacer demonstrates complex drum grooves with intimate, poetic lines spoken by Zoe in the track Lifes Like That. Fantastic Plastic Machine transforms A River Dry (again featuring Zoe on vocals) into A Girl From South, a quirky dance and radio friendly, Latin flavoured, pop song. And Steve Jansen remixes Takahashis vocal track Prayer of Gold, taking it into new, alternative dimensions.
